LIMITS & CONTINUITY
Chapter 2
The concept of a limit is one of the fundamental building blocks of calculus. Most of the limits we need can be found by substitution, graphical investigation, numerical approximation, algebra, or some combination of these.
DIFFERENTIATION: DEFINITION & FUNDAMENTAL PROPERTIES
Derivatives allow us to determine instantaneous rates of change. While derivatives have many purposes, this chapter is a first look at what derivatives are and how they work.
